Mission
Sutra literally translates to thread in Sanskrit. This system exists to create a space where the many threads of people, cultures, emotions, sounds and environment are woven together. Prepare to be bathed in a sonic tapestry that showcases dancing music from around the globe, balanced, weighty and effortless.
The Sutra's are also short, pithy philosophical arguments. So don't come test this sound in a clash!
Origins
Somin has been loading sound systems into venues since his teenage years, ran his first sound clash at 17 and has been immersed in late-night dancing culture, attending festivals with his family since he was 6 weeks old.
As he embarked on a career as a Sound Artist, Producer, DJ and Sound Engineer, his love for sound systems and their culture only blossomed further. From working with Mr Scruff (a known sound quality obsessive) and Giant Steps Sound System in 2025, It was only a matter of time until he took the leap to build his own system.
